YOUNGSTERS GO OUT ON LOAN

Striker Aaron Conway has moved over to the Bully Wee at Clyde, currently sitting atop the First Division, and promotion candidates for this season surely. This will no doubt be a good experience for the youngster, who has played as a substitute twice for United so far.

Graham Holmes, a midfielder has been farmed out to Second division campaigners Dumbarton. Holmes has come off the bench three times for United in his career up to now.

Hopefully this will add valuable first team experience to two of our most talented young players, and will strengthen our playing squad, and help with United’s long tradition of bringing players through the ranks.

In other news, it looks like Ian McCall will be making a move for Karim Kerkar, who is also currently at Clyde. The Algerian midfielder has signed for Clyde for a month, in what appears to be a ‘shop-window’ exercise by his agent. Apparently though he is quite a talent, and just what United could be looking for as they seek to strengthen the squad further.

There is also some interest in ex Livi player David Fernandez, currently at Celtic warming the bench, and I feel this could be another strong signing for us, though I do hope we are watching the pennies!!
