27 year old Jamie Fullarton became the latest victim in a cost-cutting execise undertaken by the new board at Tannadice. The midfielder had made 11 starts this season and scored no goals. His time at Tannadice has been a moxed affair after moving up from Crystal Palace. He suffered a horrific injury last season against Kilmarnock, suffering a double break and dislocation of his ankle, and needed immediate medical attention to save his foot from amputation, as the the blood supply had been blocked. This injury kept Fullarton on the sidelines of United's activities for several months. He joins David Hannah, Jamie Buchan, Neil Heaney and John McQuillan as the playing squad is reduced in a cost-cutting exercise.
