Dundee United know the way to goal but Barry Douglas insists the Arabs must cut out the dozy defending if they want to end their home hoodoo.
Incredibly, United haven’t had a win at Tannadice since the 3-0 Dundee derby demolition on August 19 – nine home games ago.
The Arabs are looking to end the horror run when St Mirren head to Tayside on Sunday but Douglas is not hitting the panic button yet.
The Tangerines might not be winning at home but they are not losing many either.
Just two games in fact but it’s the draws that have the fans pulling their hair out.
And while United have been banging in the goals, they can’t seen to keep them out at the other end.
Peter Houston’s men chucked away a three-goal lead in the thrilling 4-4 stalemate with Caley Thistle and got off to a flier with a goal inside 90 seconds against St Johnstone on Boxing Day.
But they were pegged back again and Douglas is getting fed up not finishing off the job.
He said: “After the Dundee game I didn’t imagine we’d still be waiting for our next home win.
“We have got to believe in ourselves. We should have turned a lot of these draws into wins.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a crisis, though, because we’ve only actually lost a couple of them.
“There’s no panic. If we hadn’t put a point on the board since August we would be panicking.
“It’s not like we are not getting points but we are letting teams back into games they shouldn’t be in.
“There is a feeling we will score goals in every game we go into, so if we can get the other side right we should be able to go on a run.”

Douglas reckons it’s great for the league – but murder for United who are desperate to get up a head of steam.
Houston’s men are sixth in the table but have yet to put together consecutive wins in the league since the opening two weeks of the season.
He said: “It is better for the league with every side so close. But it’s not great for us. We need to be more ruthless.
“There might be other sides struggling at home but it’s not something playing on our minds.
“We’re more concerned with these draws and it’s the same with our away results.
“The fans need to be patient, they see we are scoring.
“We just need to be tighter at the back and stop conceding silly goals.”
The Boxing Day slugfest with St Johnstone summed up United’s form. They created numerous chances but also gave Saints enough opportunities to win half-a-dozen matches.
The Perth side have their own goalscoring issues and it took a Brian McLean own goal to level but Douglas reckons United can get their back division in order.
The 23-year-old said: “It was another frustrating day at the office. It was disappointing after a great start.
“We are not short of goals or creating chances – our problems are coming at the other end.”
