Some of Dundee United's legends from previous years are getting on their bikes to raise money for charity.

John Holt, Dave Narey, Paul Hegarty, Maurice Malpas, Dave Bowman and Jim McInally will hit the roads on July 2nd to raise money for the Maggie’s Centre at Ninewells.

“Obviously United will be preparing for the new season but if they don’t have a game Raymond is going to do the route with us,” Holt told the Evening Telegraph.

“We start off at Tannadice in the morning, head for Arbroath, then Montrose and over to Brechin and Forfar before heading home, passing Dens Park on the way.

“It’s 75 miles but he’s a lot younger than us so it shouldn’t be a problem for him!”
