SHEEP IN FRENZY AFTER 4 GAME UNBEATEN RUN!

Last updated : 10 September 2004 By United Mad

Ok, so we’ve had a two week build-up to this game due to the internationals, it’s a ‘new firm’ derby, and United and Aberdeen have two of the best pedigrees in British football over the last 25 years, but ‘meh goad’, you’d think the Sheep Chasers had won the European Cup, Lottery, and works raffle all in the same week, and all because they’ve played four games without losing a goal.

Our messageboard here gets the occasional stray from the DFC board, or the odd OF fan wandering on for a bit of flag waving, but these last two weeks have seen an invasion of woolly types, all proclaiming a new era in Scottish football, heralded by them. I don’t think so.

They think they are playing at home too, and estimate bring 130 000 fans down, or something like that. Hope they’ve learned some new songs along with all this newfound confidence.

United have now signed Karim Kerkar – actually we signed him over a week ago, but this scribe has had his pc back to PC World to get fixed, blasted thing. He’s supposed to be a great talent, winning MOM awards etc during his three games at Clyde. We’ve also beat a host of clubs for his signature, including Rangers, who’ll probably offer us a £million for him in a year’s time when they see someone else has got a good player – they can’t have that now can they!!

Paul Ritchie is unfortunately still injured, and it’s looking like a few weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

Scott Paterson has recovered from his long-term knee injury, only to do his hamstring!! This boy’ll get a reputation if he’s not careful!! Seriously, all the best to him – it must be a really difficult time for him. Chin up mate! Looking forward to seeing you in the team.

The fans they moan about playing Dodds in midfield – surely now with Kerkar etc signed we can play Dodds as a striker? Or at least NOT play him in midfield? I’ve not heard one single good report about his midfield skills. Get upfront Billy fer goad’s sake!

Should be a good game, with both sets of fans absolutely 100% up for it. Should be a crackling atmosphere and a pulsating game, and IF McCall gets his tactics right, we’ll be notching the first goal in the ‘goals against’ column for the Dons.

2-1 United.
