McNamara complains about inconsistent refereeing

The ref gave a penalty to the Saints in the first half when Callum Morris and Michael O'Halloran tangled, but Nadir Ciftci was denied a penalty and booked for diving late in the game.

“I thought there was contact there, the lad has taken him out," said McNamara.

“He was very quick to point to the spot in the first half, when the lad was behind Callum Morris and their legs came together.

"Nadir was in a better position and his legs were taken away.

"I also don't think he has done anything to merit a booking. One lad squared up to him and one lad pushed him, and he has done nothing.

"It’s just consistency with decisions, that's all I was looking for."

“It could have gone either way. Obviously, with us going in front, it was disappointing not to hang on to it, but our keeper has made a good save from the penalty."
