Latest News Round Up

Well, it’s been a long subdued two weeks for most Arabs, three straight losses in the league, disappointing performances, injuries, and dodgy refs. The only highlight in recent weeks was the League Cup victory over Clyde, who are currently top of division one, and this of course could have been a slip up for us.

Still, it’s not all doom and gloom. Paul Ritchie, who broke a collarbone in the game at Livi is due to return and may feature this weekend, though Tony Bullock, who has the same injury, will be out for a little longer as a broken collarbone is more serious for a goal keeper with all the bending down and picking the ball out of the net that our goalies have to do these days!

Saturday sees United make the trip to Easter Road to face Hibs, in a game United have to get something from. Personally I’ll settle for a strong performance and a point at the moment, and not losing 3, 4, or 5 goals!

In other news, there has been uproar from both Arabs and Dees over the proposed Rangers shop, possibly to open in Wellgate. A petition has been started here, please go along and sign, and email the Wellgate if you so desire.
