Daly relishing Dons clash

After a weather-enforced break of more than five weeks, United let slip a two-goal lead - courtesy of strikes by David Goodwillie after two and 35 minutes - to draw 2-2 at Hibernian on Wednesday night. United now travel to Pittodrie on Saturday to meet an Aberdeen team resurgent under Craig Brown.

"It's going to be tough," said Daly. "They've got a new manager in and when a new manager comes in it gives the place a lift. But hopefully we can go there and get the three points."

After six postponed fixtures and having played only once in December, United face a fixture backlog.

Daly added: "The lads are looking forward to it. That's what you want to do - you want to play games.

"Two or three games in a week we'll be well up for and hopefully by that time we'll have our injured boys back - (Craig) Conway, Sevvy (Scott Severin) and Dodsy (Darren Dods).

"We're looking forward to it and if we can keep needless suspensions away we should be all right."

Daly was referring to the dismissal of Danny Swanson, who was shown a yellow card fewer than 30 seconds after entering the action for a reckless tackle on Danny Galbraith before receiving a second booking 12 minutes from time for deliberate handball.

Swanson's actions angered manager Peter Houston, particularly with United already short of players.
