Dundee United team versus St Mirren Preview

Team News

United go into their first game of the season looking to continue their winning form from last season. United are without suspended Swanson but Scotland pair, Robertson & Kenneth have shrugged of their knocks to be ready for the squad. BBC also reporting than Sandaza is back from injury but the best Fran can hope for is a seat on the bench. The only injury is long term crock Kovacevic so Houston has a good squad to choose from.

Predicted Starting 11

Formation: 4-4-2

Pernis

Dillon Kenneth Dods Dixon

Gomis Bauben Robertson Conway

Goodwillie Daly

Past Results

Last season United drew 0-0 and won 2-1 away to St Mirren although it would be fair to say United were poor in both games. Interestingly, United have only just lost once in their last 18 trips to Paisley.

Bookies Odds

bet365 seem to be offering the best odds on a United victory at 13/10.

Score Prediction

St Mirren 1 Dundee United 2

With a new manager at the helms, it's hard to know how the Buddies will preform but if United play to their strengths they should win. The only concern is playing a midfield with Gomis, Bauben & Robertson all included but with Swanson suspended, Gomis playing right midfield seems the obvious and easiest option for Houston to take.
