United Fail To Inspire At East End Park

What is it with us and leads? Why can’t we hold onto them for longer than five minutes?

This is not a new phenomenon! So far this season, we have lost the lead in a stunning twelve games, and in half those, surrendered our lead in just a few minutes! Sometimes twice in the same game!

I’d love to be able to say that the reason for this is ‘X’, but I can’t. However I sincerely hope Brewster can.

One good thing – Brewster seems to be getting the time – I’ve not seen one negative comment about him since he took over, well apart from the silly half of the city, but they ken LOADS about getting the right folk in eh?

Yesterday’s debacle was Stillie’s fault – no question. It’s fair to say Stillie is not having a great season, and has cost us a fair few points so far.

United is a difficult club at which to keep up levels of confidence, and Stillie, howler after howler, will be losing his. The fans are already getting on his back, and the general consensus is that he must go. Who could argue? But there’s still a fair way to go till the end of the season. He has the time to prove himself – but as his confidence slips, so will his form, and it’s a slippy slope.

I personally feel we need a stronger keeper, but if Stillie proves himself between now and May, then fair enough in my eyes. Having said that, I think we’ll be getting someone new.
