Dunfermline Athletic defenders Greg Shields (29) and Scott Wilson (28), both Craig Brewster’s former teammates, are the new manager’s first signing targets it is understood.
Both players have 18 months still to run on their contracts, so it’s believed that fees would be involved, although United may offer players in part exchange, as they themselves attempt to reduce their wage bill.
