The search for new talent continues.....

As the rebuilding towards the future continues at Tannadice, coaches Tony Docherty and Steve Campbell have just returned from a trip down south where they took in a reserve match between Manchester City and Liverpool.

Suggested targets from this game are thought to be goalkeeper Nicky Weaver and recent trialist Natahn D'Laryea. Weaver has an impressive pedigree and would be looked upon by all in tangerine as a decent signing and reports suggest that D'Laryea impressed the manager during his recent trial spell.

Another who is supposedly interesting Brewster at the moment is Rangers on loan Goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who is currently starring for Dunfermline. Once again though, this appears to be someone speculating more than any concrete news as it is widely expected that McGregor will head back to Ibrox to work under in coming boss Paul Le Guen.

It is quite clear that the coming weeks are going to bring with them much speculation about transfer targets and I'm sure the message boards will be first with the news as per usual.

The latest names to be thrown into the ring are Greg Shields of Dunfermline, Martin Corrigan and Stephen Craigan of Motherwell, Ex Terror Robbie Winters and Christian Dailly once more.

One thing worth remembering for fans is that the transfer market does not open until the second week in June so little or any movement will take place beforehand. Whilst not ideal, with regards to purchasing early bird season tickets, as united fans we will have to accept that most of the incomings will be after the decision to renew the season tickets have been taken.
