From United Official site: “Dundee United and Inverness CT announce that amicable discussions have led to a compensation package being agreed for Craig Brewster and his management team.

“Craig and his team will now leave Inverness CT with immediate effect and join Dundee United.

“A full media conference to formally the confirm the appointment of Craig and his management team is scheduled for Monday, 16 January at Tannadice.

“In the meantime, with the full support of Craig Brewster, Billy Dodds will remain in charge of first team affairs for this Sunday's game against Falkirk.”

The news delighted Arabs up and down the land, as one might expect.

ICT Chairman David Sutherland said: "We tried our best to keep Craig but his heart was set on Tannadice and we respect that. He has behaved with integrity throughout and we wish him well.

"We're pleased that compensation negotiations have ended satisfactorily and we will turn our thoughts to finding a successor.

"To his credit, Craig Brewster had assured Caley Thistle he would not leave without a compensation agreement. But he reiterated his wish, and that of his assistant, to join United and Caley Thistle could not, in the end, stand in his way.

"But we can assure our supporters we fought tooth and nail to try to keep him.”

No doubt Arabs will flock to Tannadice this coming SUNDAY to welcome home the returning hero! We also owe it to Eddie Thompson who has, yet again, put his hands deep into his pockets to secure United’s future development. Well done the Chairman.

Proud to be an Arab!!
