CIS cup tie v Livi – Preview by Wishae Arab

Well it’s amazing to think that we’re just 2 days away from booking our place in a cup semi! Given all the managerial shenanigans recently it’s nice to think that we’re turning our attention more to matters on the park rather than those in the boardroom.

Based on the Celtic performance we should have absolutely nothing to fear from Livingston, and if the players approach this fixture with the same determination and battling attitude that was on display against Celtic then a comfortable away win should be on the cards.

It was good also to sense the improved atmosphere amongst the supporters and this could be crucial on Wednesday night, with a full orchestra usually being employed by our opposition to aid their cause. I’m not one of those who criticises their musical accompaniment; in fact I wish we’d thought of it first!

Team selection? Well I’m not really sure I could make much of a case for altering the starting eleven from Sunday’s game, though it will depend on whether there’s any injuries after all the crunching tackles during that game!

Prediction? Well my outstandingly appalling performance in the footy mad “beat the manager” league table should make you all very cautious about putting money on the strength of my tips, but if you’re foolish enough I’m going for a 2-0 United win!

Hampden here we come!
