Have to say I’m pleased with the way the club has come out and rubbished all the transfer speculation passing as fact surrounding some of our players at the moment. Nothing’s surer than that we might lose someone we don’t want to before the season begins but it’s certainly not up to the media (sadly, including our ‘local paper’) to unsettle any of our squad with their flights of fancy…or at the instigation/manipulation of any potential buying club.

  Interesting to hear that we had a Lithuanian international at Centre-half in the 6-0 run-out against Queens Park as I think we’re all pretty much agreed that’s the key position we have to shore up as quickly as possible. Lets all continue to enjoy the rumours and mutterings but, for god’s sake, lets not jump on very utterance as if it’s the gospel and inevitably going to happen….message ends!
